If you are trying to master digital photography, you will notice that it is very different from taking pictures with a standard 35MM camera or any other type of camera. Some of the differences are good, and some are not so good. One of the biggest things that is not so good is you are likely to have a much increased cost for doing your photographs. Not necessarily because digital pictures cost more to develop, but you will find yourself taking a lot, more pictures which is the cause of the increased cost.
It is important to note that digital photography is great because it allows people to develop and print out their own pictures from their home using a photo printer that you can purchase for as little as $100 for a quality model. This has increased the popularity of digital photography immensely. If you have a 35MM camera, you typically have to take the rolls of film to a photo development center in order to actually see the prints.
With a digital photography setup, you can usually see the exact outcome of your pictures as soon as you take the pictures, as well as delete immediately any pictures you are not happy with. This enables you to have digital photography success because you can see immediate results from your photo taking skills. You can decide right after you take the picture whether you want to keep it, or delete it this is a freedom that you can only get with digital photography.
